iLocalCrypt stores an encrypted text on your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can have your PINs and passwords around with you all the time. Even if your device gets stolen, these information remain secure.
I didn't understand the US export law and its consequences for iPhone applications. So I provide a web application that is hosted outside the US.
With the database module of HTML5 it is possible, to store data on the local device. They won't be transmitted over the internet, not even to my servers. And even if some bad guy can see directly into your flash memory : the data is encrypted with the AES 256 algorithm.
iLocalCrypt works offline, so you don't need an internet connection to use it. Only for the installation you need an internet connection.
You can run the application by navigation to www.kna-st.de/iLocalCrypt/. If you bookmark it to your start screen, it is nearly indistinguishable from a native application.
